Parents Edward Kitchen and Eunice Culver. Physician J. L. Addison, St. George. Informant S. G. Kitchen. Vesta's age in the above death registration calculates to a birth date of February 11, 1826. This agrees with her date of birth as it appears on page 666 in her father's biography in the 1883 Warner & Beers History of the County of Brant. It also agrees with her birth as shown in the 1911 census in South Dumfries - February of 1826. According to her father's biography, he did not move to Dumfries Township until April of 1826. Prior to this, he was at Fingal, near St. Thomas, in what became Elgin County. If the biography is correct, Vesta was probably born in or near Fingal and her place of birth as shown in the above death registration is then inaccurate. |
