Note | More information is needed for a clearer history of John Cook and Elizabeth Lawrason. Apparently, they married in 1860, though there is a problem with the available indexed record so far as Elizabeth's parents' names are concerned. They appear to have been in MacGillivray Township in Middlesex County at the time of the 1871 census with daughter 'Annietta'. Stuart Lawrason's chart of the 1929 shows that Elizabeth married John Cook and that they had a daughter Nettie. If the above be accurate, the family must have been back in Blenheim Township in 1881, for Elizabeth died there on on February 16. John Cook of Blenheim, widower, on October 9th, 1884, married Margaret Kee of West Wawanosh Township, Huron County. She was a widow and her parents are shown as James and Margaret Fox. The family is in Blenheim at the time of the 1891 census and daughter Annette, age 28 is with them. She has not been found thereafter. John Cook died in 1909 and he is buried in Washington Cemetery, Blenheim Township, with both his wives. |
