Page 18 of the July 19, 1943 edition carries photographs of the couple and tells that they will be married in St. Clair Avenue United Church on July 24. William is shown as a Leading Aircraftsman in the R.C.A.F. and the son of Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Cordell. Marion's parents are shown as Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Himes.

Page 21 of the July 24 edition tells of the marriage as happening that same day and that the bridal couple are taking a wedding trip to Muskoka. The rather faded article does tell of family members being involved in the wedding.

NotePage D31 of the August 23, 1990, edition of the Toronto Star records the passing of Marion Dorothy Cordell on Wednesday, August 22, 1990, at St. Mary's Hospital in Kitchener. Her parents are named as Alfred and Lottie Himes and records that she is survived by her step-mother, Florence Himes. Also surviving are brother Clifford and Reva Himes of Brampton and Reid and Audrey Himes of Haliburton. It is evident that she was also survived by her husband, Bill Cordell.

The funeral was held Schreiter-Sandrock Funeral Home in Kitchener on August 23, but does not say where she was buried. It does not appear that she was buried in the Kitchener area.
