Arthur Wellington Cooper, 25, bachelor, hatmaker, Salvation Army, usual residence Galt. Parents Joseph Cooper and Mary Lydia Thomas. Katie Himes, 27, spinster, Salvation Army. Usual residence Galt. Parents John Himes and Lavinia Emma Mathewson. On 23 February, 1910, at Galt. Witnesses Albert Himes and Cora Usher, both of Galt. Clergyman Wm. Hy. Green. I recall mention in the family that the Coopers were from Preston. One note here is that on the marriage registration it says that the mother of the bride is Lavinia Emma Mathewson. This is an error. Lavinia had a sister Emma. Kate's oldest sister was Lavinia Emma Himes prior to her marriage to Alvin Coleman. This may be where someone got confused. |

A correction to Kate's surname Himes was entered at some point with an arrow pointing to her father's name, which is correctly entered. Since Kate applied for a birth certificate in 1940, the correction may have been entered at that time. |
