| Note | According to the 1949 book, Charles M. Vrooman was a lawyer and lived at Isabella in Kern County, California. Some confirmation of this has been found. In the 1870, he is shown as age 17, born New York, and living with his sister Grace at the home of Smith and Emma Chapman. On March 1st, 1879, Charles M. Vrooman is shown on the voters registration list in Kern County, California. He has not been found in the 1880 census, but appears in the 1900 census at Kern County. He is also there in the 1910 and 1920 censuses. There is no evidence that he married. |
