NoteEstella and Ralph were married at Queenston in 1889. The 1920 census at Lansing, Michigan, states that Estella came to the United States in 1889, so we may say that they came to Michigan almost immediately after their marriage.

In the 1900 census Ralpha and Estella are in Grand Rapids, Kent County, Michigan. This tells the unhappy story that Estella had given birth to 4 children, of which one, Wilbur, was still living. The census is dated 4 June 1900 and Wilbur is with them, age five months.

The Fosgets have not been found in the 1910 census.

By the time of the 1920 census, Ralph and Estella are in Lansing, Ingham County, Michigan. In the 1900 census, Ralph was a carpenter; by 1920, he is a foreman in an auto factory. Wilbur is still with them, though without information as to his career. Interestingly, Martha Vrooman, Estella's mother, age 80, is with them. We cannot know how long she was with the Fosgets, but the 1920 census was taken on 3 January 1920, and Martha died later the same year on the 14th December in St. Catharines.

Familysearch.org provides us with an index-only death record for Estella May Fosget on 14 September 1926.

In the 1930 census at Lansing, Ralph, age 70, is shown as a maintenance engineer at a lumber company and Wilbur is with him and shown as a physician.

Again, familysearch.org, provides us with an index-only death record for Ralph W. Fosget. This gives his birth as 14 January, 1859, in Coopersville, Michigan, and his death on 8 January, 1936, at Lansing.

Information found for Oakhill Cemetery in Grand Rapids, and birth and death registrations as shown by familysearch.org, provide us with such information as we have for the three children of the Fosgets that didn't survive childhood.
