Place of birth Thorold, Ontario. Informant William J. Martin, father, Clifton. Church of England. The birth registration shows this child as Maudy and her death registration shows her as Caroline. There can be no doubt that, at death, with an age of six weeks, this is the same child. This tree shows her as Caroline Maudy. This may or may not be correct, but is likely close. According to the Drummond Hill Cemetery logs, the child was buried on April 14th. She is described as Infant Martin. According to a City of Niagara Falls web page for their cemeteries, William Martin is buried in a plot with a large Martin stone. His name does not appear on the stone and no mention is made on the web page as to the burial of Maudy Caroline. Drummond Hill Cemetery log does not mention the plot number. |
