Margaret was buried in Drummond Hill Cemetery on April 6th, 1905. The stone must have been erected at some later date, for her date of death is given as August 3, 1905. The stone gives her date of birth as January 2, 1827. She herself, in the 1901 census at Niagara Falls, gave her date of birth as 28 January, 1828. This will be closer to accurate. Margaret's date of burial is taken from the ledger of Drummond Hill Cemetery sexton William Dalton. Dalton identifies Margaret as the wife of Edwin Cole and the sister of Edwin Tucker. He refers to her burial as being buried on the'north side of her daughter, Mrs. Thomas Scott, and 3 lots west of her late husband, Edwin Cole.' |
