Lenia Vrooman, born 27 July 1878. Parents James S. Vrooman and Mary Ellen Connor. James was the informant and he appears to have signed the registration page himself.

death reg. 015381-78 Fergus, Wellington Co.
Lenia Vrooman died 28 July 1878. Age about 2 days. Born Fergus, Co. of Wellington. Informant James S. Vrooman. Apparently signed with his own hand.

Lenia is buried in Belsyde Cemetery. A transcription of her place of burial does not appear in transcriptions done in recent years. Rather, we draw on a transcription of 'Belleside' done in 1883 by Alexander Dingwall Fordyce. None of this appears to be set out by section. Rather, on page 21 of this work, Fordyce provides us with the following:

In Memory of/Lenia who died July 27, 1878 - aged 2 days:/also infant children of Jas. S. and Mary H. Vrooman.

James registered Lenia's birth and death on the 29th. His dating on the registrations may not be entirely accurate.

It's evident from the inscription on Lenia's gravestone in Belsyde Cemetery, that there were one or two other children buried there, the children of James and Mary. Lenia's sister Ada was still with the family in Newaygo County, Michigan, in the 1880 census, so it may be that the children buried with Lenia will remain unknown to us.
