| Note | She FamilySearch provides us with the transcription of Mabel's birth registration: Mabel Raskopf born 27 Jan, 1885, at New Ulm, Brown Co., Minnesota. Parents J. Xavier Raskopf and Anna Raskopf. Father's birth place Germany; mother's birthplace Minnesota. According to their marriage registration, both Mabel and Fred were both divorced at the time fo their marriage. She appears in the 1920 census at Spokane with her parents Joseph and Anna Rosskopf. Mabel and her husband, Henry N. Macomb are living with her parents. Henry is 28 and Mabel E. Macomb is 34. Joseph is born in Wisconsin, Anna and daughter Mabel are born in Minnesota. Mabel's husband Henry was born in Oregon. FamilySearch provides us with a transcription of a death registration for Mabel, which reads as follows: Mabel Elizabeth Vrooman died 11 Jan 1959. Age 73. Estimated birth year 1886. Father Joseph X. Rosshopf and Anna Rose. Place of death Newport, Pend Oreille, Washington. Mabel's father's name in the 1920 census looks rather more like Rosskopf. The 1910 census at Spokane clearly shows the name as Rosskopf. FamilySearch shows a transcription for the marriage of Joseph Xavier Roskopf, born 11 May 1855, at Washington County, Wisconsin, and Annie Schaeffer, born 26 Nov. 1856, at Cottonwood, Minnesota. The marriage date was 16 Jan., 1882, at New Ulm, Brown, Minnesota. FamilySearch provides us with a copy of Mabel's will. It appears in Volume 2 of Pend Oreille wills on pages 208 and 209. It clearly states that Mabel had borne no children and that she left her estate in its entirety to her husband, Fred V. Vrooman. |
