Reginald T. Johns/Sergeant/R.C.A.S.C./12 June 1961 age 57
One of Reg's death notices said that he went by the nickname of Snookie. He joined the Canadian Army at an early date after the outbreak of World War II. He was one of the soldiers evacuated from the beaches at Dunkirk. He was afterwards heard to say that he'd have traded his army boots for running shoes at Dunkirk anytime. He rose to the rank of Sergeant. He is said to have worked for newspapers in Galt, Sarnia and Detroit in his younger days.
After the death of his mother, Reg was raised by his grandmother Coleman (Harriet) and his Aunt Villa. Reg never married.
