Mary Dawson, widow, age 80 yrs and 2 months, died May 1, 1910. Born February 14, 1830. Place of death Brock Township, lot 16, concession 10. Father James Vrooman, born Germany(!), mother's name not given, but she is shown also as being born in Germany. Certified by Philip Dawson, Cannington.

We do not know where Jane Purdy was born, but she wasn't likely born in Germany. Certainly, James Vrooman was born near Queenston in Upper Canada.
