The marriage registration was likely done in 1893 and so should be correct. The marriage itself was almost certainly done in 1892 even though the document dates it as being performed in 1893. The two registrations immediately following show marriages as performed in January of 1893 and so the 1893 entry for the Cathro-Smith marriage is likely an error. This is not a certainty for previous pages by other clergymen (several different), are 1893 marriages. However, Charles Smith seems to have handed in a year's worth of registrations all at once, for his entries go on for several pages.
