NoteElecta's birth year, 1865, was prior to the registration of births in Ontario. She is shown in Beverly Township, Wentworth County, Ontario, in the 1871 census as 'Electa', age 6. The 1880 U.S. census in Millbrook, Mecosta County, Michigan, shows her as Rebecca M., age 15. 'Rebecca' will surely be an enumerator's error. Her marriage registration , shows her as Electa M. Roelofson. For the moment, the source of her name, 'Electa', is not clear, however the name had some currency in Beverly. The twins Electa and Celecta Mulholland, ages 13, who appear in the 1871 census in Beverly come to mind.

Electa was almost certainly born in Beverly Township.
