Informant John Skoyles, machinist, 119 Bellwood Ave., Toronto. The name as shown, Skoiles, was corrected to Skoyles in 1946. The informant's name, John Skoyles, father of the child, was spelled correctly in the informant's information. The registration was filed by John Skoyles on August 1st, 1889, and it shows Edith's birth as 16 July. The inscription on her gravestone has her birth as July 22. The 16th is more likely the correct date. Edith apparently never married. She is buried in Section 6, Mountview Cemetery, Galt, with her sister Mary S. Skoyles, and brother-in-law J. Irvin Hammond. |
