Registerar Kenneth McAulay, Melanchton, Grey Co. The 1851 and 1871 censuses shown both Thomas and Jane as being born in Scotland. This latter is probably correct. Jane died in Melancthon Township of Grey County in 1873, which is correct. Melancthon Township became a part of the newly formed county of Dufferin in 1881. |
