Doreen Evelyn Bolderson

ID# 2609, (1928-1956)
Doreen Evelyn Bolderson was born on 28 November 1928 in British Columbia.1 She was the daughter of George Harris Bolderson and Dora Williams.2 Doreen Evelyn Bolderson also went by the name of Doreen Doyle after her mother married Spike Doyle in 1934, however her death registration says Bolderson.3 She was never married. She died of a stroke on 15 February 1956 in Vancouver, British Columbia, at age 27.1 She was buried on 20 February 1956 in Seaview Cemetery, Gibson's Landing, British ColumbiaG.1

Doreen was the youngest female (of the time) to have open heart surgery performed on her. Despite her heart problems, that isn't what killed her. She had gone to the dentist to have her wisdom teeth removed, and shortly thereafter was afflicted with a case of dry-socket. A clot resulted from this, which found its way to her brain, and ended up being the cause of her demise.4
